Last week, Off! released “Over Our Heads”, where Black portrays skydiving coach that is descending into madness, or at the very least eccentricity. Meanwhile, he is attempting to teach the band how to fly on Keith Morris’s 59th birthday. “Over Our Heads” was directed by Jimmy Hayward. And in addition to Jack Black, it featured acid trips, a viscous bear, and several beheadings. If you aren’t squeamish you can check it out, here.

“Meet Your God” continues the story, and opens with Black and birthday-boy Morris still fleeing the viscous bear. After tossing various things at the bear to distract him, Black sends Morris on ahead and prepares to do battle (read: karate or MMA style inspired fighting) with the bear. Initially, Black is doing well as he roundhouse kicks the bear in the nose. But, then, the tides of battle change and the bear levels a few good punches and kicks that stun Black, allowing the bear to scratch his face and rip open his intestines.

Morris comes to the rescue, and with the help of a few CGI punches, runs the bear off and goes back to tend to his dying comrade. Black – although seemingly doomed to perish – finds time for a discussion about performing at Warped Tour and Coachella, before he finally succumbs to his injuries.

Then, the director chose to insert a classic Hollywood film cliché: the black and white flashback of two friends, before one perished tragically. It fades back to the present, and Morris is determined and literally on the hunt for vengeance. In a series of CGI shots, he speed runs (ala Twilight) to catch up with the bear and deliver the appropriate mayhem. And, a new king of the jungle [err, maybe that should be woods?] is crowned.
