Scott Stapp’s Wife Says The Singer Threatened To Kill President Obama

Creed frontman, Scott Stapp, threatened to kill President Obama, according to allegations made by his wife.

Scott Stapp’s estranged wife, Jaclyn Stapp, and her sister have tried to place the Creed frontman in psychiatric care for a second time, after he claimed to be a CIA agent with the assignment to kill President Obama, according to Rolling Stone.

Stapp had been placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold late November due to serious mental issues that claimed to be a danger to others and himself. His wife placed a 911 call, obtained by TMZ, where she expressed her concern and says that the singer has been riding around shirtless on his motorcycle, carrying backpacks with CIA documents, and with an assortment of tools. In the 911 recording she is heard saying:

I love him, and I want to see him get better.

Also, stating that the only way to make him better was if the authorities stepped in, saying:

But I just need law enforcement’s help. That’s the only way he’s gonna stop — when he hits his rock bottom.

Despite the call, Stapp was not committed as police stated that he did not show enough signs of mental instability to arrest him. After police were dispatched, he placed his own 911 call saying that Jaclyn had stolen his truck and $6 million from him.

The singer had previously released a statement saying he was homeless and poor. His estranged wife had filed for divorce claiming he was pawning his things to buy drugs. More troubling information came out when he allegedly wrote to the dean of his son’s school saying that the school would be a target for ISIS.
