Maps – aka James Chapman – has invented the best way to meet winter holidays – make stylish covers for the most traditional holiday songs.

James and his Mute Records label-mate – Polly Scattergood have both decided to celebrate the upcoming celebrations with a sentimental and tender version of “In the Bleak Midwinter.”

That’s what James told about the idea of the unusual cover:

“After our collaboration at the Mute Short Circuit Festival a few years ago we continued to hang out and write in the studio together. “In The Bleak Midwinter” is one of our favourite Christmas songs so we decided to try our own version of it…And give it away as a present to say thanks for all the support this year.”
