AC/DC’s Phil Rudd Allegedly Threatened To Kill A Contractor And His Young Daughter

According to the Guardian, AC/DC’s Phil Rudd made serious threats against an unnamed man and his daughter in a phone call. These details are emerging following Rudd’s December 2nd trial, where the judge has asked prosecutors to disclose the full details of the case.

According to the Rolling Stone, these files reveal two phone calls that Rudd made on September 26, 2014. The Rolling Stone reports, There was a first call to an associate. During this call, Rudd allegedly discussed his plans for the two people he was threatening. Additional reports claim he phoned the two people and verbally threatened them. The identities of both victims have been concealed to protect their privacy.

When Rudd was initially arrested, he was charged with attempting to procure murder. This first charge was dropped and Rudd has denied making these phone calls. After searching his home, the police discovered 0.71 grams of methamphetamines and charged Rudd with drug possession. He did admit to possession of weed. According to the Rolling Stone, Rudd’s bail was reinstated and he must refrain from drug use. His court date is currently set for February 10.

Rudd has been caught up in a bizarre pattern of trouble with the police. It was recently reported that he ran into a bodyguard at local coffee shop in New Zealand. Reports claim Rudd and the bodyguard got into a heated argument that resulted in him fleeing from the scene before cops were able to catch him. Following these recent charges and run in with the police, the remainder of AC/DC has decided to continue without him. The group does not plan to delay any of their releases or tour dates and are determined to stay on track without Rudd if necessary.
