Journey and the Steve Miller Band will be playing the Austin 360 Amphitheater this spring. The members of Journey stated, “We are all so looking forward to playing again for you in 2015 with the great company of the Steve Miller Band and Tower of Power…It’s going to be a San Francisco musical delight from the past and present, moving full speed ahead into the future!”
Journey is an American rock band that formed in 1973. They have gone through many phases, their strongest being in 1981 when they released “Don’t Stop Believin.” The song has become extremely well known, and in 2009 iTunes deemed it one of the top selling tracks in history. The single came from their eight album, Escape, which was their most successful release. It reached number one on the Billboard 200.
Journey has received the title of two gold albums, eight multi-platinum albums, and one diamond album. In addition, they have had eighteen Top 40 singles. Allmusic described journey as, “one of America’s most beloved (and sometimes hated) commercial rock/pop bands.” With over 47 million albums sold in the United States alone, they are known has one of the worlds best selling bands of all time. Their songs have become iconic, and are still played on radio stations around the world.
