The indie pop duo known as Belle & Sebastian have garnered a lot of attention from the music industry lately. Stuart Murdoch in particular has been getting a lot of praise for his recent contributions to God Help The Girl, and with the announced release of their upcoming record Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance. In time with the announcement of their upcoming record, Belle & Sebastian have released a new video for the single “The Party Line.” Featuring multiple chapters, a killer funky rhythm, and a look inside some local discotheques, the video unveils yet another layer of Belle & Sebastian that was never really fully explored before: the ability to bring the house down with amazing, danceable beats.

Belle & Sebastian want us to “jump to the beat of the party line,” and there are few who would hesitate to oblige their request. Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance will be out on January 20th.

Doug Farrell: Am I a hip old lady that can hip-hop, be-bop, dance 'til you drop, and yo-yo make a wicked hot cup of co-co? No, but I am a struggling twenty-eight year old writer who loves music and writing about music.
