Creed’s Scott Stapp Says He Is Homeless and Broke

90’s rock band Creed’s lead man Scott Stapp has posted a video on facebook claiming that he is homeless, broke, and living in a Holiday Inn.

Creed’s front man Scott Stapp has posted video on his Facebook page reporting that he is homeless and broke. Stapp claims that the IRS has frozen his accounts, leaving him penniless, which resulted in him sleeping in his car and living at a Holiday Inn.

In the Facebook video, Stapp stated, “I had no money, not even for gas or food,” he said. “I went two days without eating because I had no money and ended up in an emergency room.”

The video features Stapp speaking heavily about his dedication to God and his faith in Him despite his current misfortunes. Stapp also says that he looks forward to his future, which he hopes will hold a new dedication to his music.

A recent report from the Miami Herald states that Stapp’s wife is filing for divorce and is recieving threatening text messages from Stapp. His wife also reported that the singer was on a drug binge consisting of amphetamines, crystal meth, and steroids, making him paranoid to a point where he is threatening his wife and children.

Stapp has a history with alcoholism and drug abuse, which contributed to the break up of Creed in 2001. In 2007, Stapp was arrested for apparently throwing a bottle at his wife’s head.

Stapp’s most recent material released was 2013’s Proof of Life, his second solo album. Earlier this year, Stapp told Cryptic Rock that because of creative differences between him and Mark Tremonti, that he had no plans of making music with Creed, instead focusing on his solo career. Stapp spoke about the making of Proof of Life stating, “The place in my life I was at emotionally and mentally as an artist when I wrote the record; I felt like I reached the end of a cycle. I had time to really process and digest everything.”

Although his January interview sounds normal, the video posted by Stapp suggests anything but normality in his life right now. He goes on to claim in his video that people were stealing his money, “A lot of money was stolen from me or royalties not paid,” and that the apparent thieves were trying to “discredit” and “slander” Stapp.

“Without getting into too many other details, my civil rights have been violated. I’m going to go public with his, I’m going to make this public, this all will be public, im going to expose and im going to fight every single individual who is responsible for this…they had my information, they changed my online passwords to my bank accouns and transferred all the money out of my bank accounts, and I have nothing.”
