Under the moniker Jack Ü, pioneering EDM music producers Diplo and Skrillex have released a high-energy, personality-infused music video to accompany their first official single.
When super-producers Diplo and Skrillex initially announced their collaborative venture Jack Ü, the EDM world could hardly contain their enthusiasm. Although the duo has yet to release a mixtape, their first official single “Take Ü There” featuring Kiesza has received a great deal of acclaim from fans with over 2 million plays on SoundCloud. Yesterday, the electronic pioneers unveiled an official video for the popular track.
As DJs with significantly memorable personalities, this video proves no less. The video presents a cameo from featured artist Kiesza, as well as a fusion of scenes from their recent live performance ventures at Austin City Limits, HARD Summer and numerous Mad Decent Block Parties. Multiple frenzied animations are combined with behind-the-scenes footage to create a visually pleasing chaos of images. Both DJs’ personalities shine throughout the video; at one point, a siren-sounding cop car comes into the picture as Skrillex attempts to explain, “We’re making a music video.”
