A Place to Bury Strangers is a New York based noise rock band. The band is composed of Oliver Ackermann (guitar/vocals), Dion Lunadon (bass) and Robi Gonzalez (drums). They play a heavy blend of psychedelic rock, shoegaze and space rock.
In their early years of performing, they became increasingly chaotic which earned them the title of New York City’s “loudest band” from various reviewers and bloggers. The Washington Post stated they were “the most ear-shatteringly loud garage/shoegaze band you’ll ever hear.” The New York Times even applauded them on their revival of “the ominous, feedback-drenched drones of the 1980s.”
A Place to Bury Strangers announced their latest album, Transfixiation, consecutively with new American and European tour dates. The album is set to be released on February 17 of the new year.
