Uh-oh. Although they are a rather badass band, Kasabian has outdone themselves with this allegedly internal stunt pulled off by their production team.
The United Kingdom’s mix between The Stone Roses, Primal Scream and Oasis, described as an indie band although their lead singer has gone on the record for hating indie bands, is called Kasabian. They are scheduled to undertake a five night residency in London starting on December 1st, and are promoting the release of their new album ’48:13′, which came out on June 9, 2014.
Sergio Pizzorno, the band’s lead guitarist, was the mastermind behind the new album, about which he expounded, speaing to their new confidence and honesty that they felt comfortable incepting into their music. Unfortunately, during a live version of Clouds, which takes up 4:45 seconds of ’48:13′, the production team had a mishap and the projection behind the band ended up called London a bunch of cunts. Apparently, the word is not as vulgar of a term in the UK as it is here in the States, though it does till carry a very significant negative poignancy.
Sergio Pizzorno spoke about the incident:
“We were as shocked as anyone else. The production team fucked up. There were supposed to be photos of mundane objects in that section but instead I turned around in the middle of ‘Clouds’ and couldn’t believe my eyes. We were all shocked and certainly didn’t mean to offend anyone.”
