Arcade Fire’s Will Butler Announces New Solo Album “Policy”

Will Butler, of Arcade Fire fame, has announced that he is releasing his first solo album, Policy.

Butler’s debut will be released via Merge Records on March 10, 2015, according to Pitchfork. Pitchfork cites this tweet by Arcade Fire Tube (@ArcadeFireTube), which includes the album’s cover art:

Arcade Fire Tube, also has a community Facebook Page, which posted that Butler’s album will be released on CD and vinyl. It is available for pre-order through Amazon.com in both formats. A tracklisting has not been revealed.

So, you may be wondering what the other members of Arcade Fire are doing, while Will is hard at work on his solo debut.

Well, members of Arcade Fire teamed up with few members of The Stokes and Bon Iver to play in a charity basketball tournament. The third annual event was held during the Pop Montréal festival in late September.

And, most recently, Win Butler and Régine Chassagne made an appearance at a concert honoring Mavis Staples, which also featured Emmylou Harris, Keb Mo’, Marty Stuart, and Gregg Allman, among many other notable artists.
