Motion City Soundtrack (10 Year Anniversary) w/ The Early November & Citizen @ Electric Factory 1/29

Motion City Soundtrack will be headed out on a 10th Anniversary Tour to celebrate their album, Commit This To Memory. The album, which was released in 2005, will be performed in its entirety throughout the upcoming tour. Motion City Soundtrack will kick things off this January in Minnesota (their home state) and will eventually make their way to Philly on January 29th when they’ll perform at The Electric Factory.

For their 10th Anniversary Tour, Motion City Soundtrack will be bringing a slew of bands in support, including Hit The Lights, Hawthorne Heights, Vinnie Caruana, The Early November, Copeland, Team, Hellogoodbye, William Beckett, and more. For our Philly date, we’ll get to see The Early November and Citizen, when they open up the show this January.

Motion City Soundtrack have been at this game for a long time, having formed back in 1997. They have released five studio albums wince their debut EP, Kids for America. Their debut album, I Am the Movie, was released in 2002. And since then they have have been busy putting out records and touring the country seemingly nonstop. Commit This To Memory, the album responsible for the upcoming tour was released in 2005. The album was produced by Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, who they had toured with the previous year. The album, Hoppus’ first producing effort, became a big success for the band. Their lead single, “Everything is Alright” became their signature song and is still a crowd favorite at their shows.

Head to The Electric Factory this January to see Motion City Soundtrack perform the album in full.
