Gang of Four has announced the release date for their new album, What Happens Next. The album is set for release on February 24 via Metropolis Records.
The band has recently reorganized since the departure of vocalist Jon King. Gang of Four did not let this stray them as the highly anticipated album features a wide range of collaborations with artists such as Alison Mosshart, Robbi Furze, Gail Ann Dorsey, Herbert Gronemeyer, and Hotei.
Following King’s departure, Andy Gill took the lead on the bands direction. In a press release about the new album, guitarist Any Guill said, “”The focus is more on universal issues, like how individuals behave in certain ways or how our world is constructed, than local issues or current affairs”. The album was written and produced by Gill.
The Leading single for the album, “Broken Talk” was also released. The song features vocals from Alison Mosshart. “Broken Talk” is currently available to stream on soundcloud.
In addition to the announcement about the new album, Gang of Four also announced they will be going doing a U.S. spring tour. The tour will start on March 3 in Washington DC’s 9:30 Club.
