Swans have announced a full set of tour dates for this winter through early 2015. The tour will span throughout the United States and several other countries, where they will feature their recently released music.
The upcoming season will seemingly bring great things for Swans fans, as they have announced their tour dates which expand throughout the globe. This section of tour dates is helping to compete a year-long worldwide tour backing their album To Be Kind. According to Pitchfork, the band will release their Oxygen EP November 25, and they have recently reissued their album Filth, which was their debut. Included in their tour dates is the date of their recent announcement that they will be appearing at Big Ears Festival which runs March 27-29. The tour will bring them to countries such as Denmark, Russia, Poland, Australia, and China (among others) before bringing them to the United States to perform in cities including Chicago, Atlanta, Knoxville, and Austin.
The band has been quite busy in the past year, as earlier mentioned, they have released a new album, remastered an old album, and plan to release an EP this month. Their album To Be Kind was released in May of this year, after they developed the album’s material in studio and during their 2012/2013 tour. The album was produced by band member Michael Gira, and recorded at a couple different studios in Dallas and El Paso. Their remastered version of Filth was released in early November, which is now out on vinyl for the first time in years. The release of their EP Oxygen is set for November 25, shortly following their first winter tour date in the Netherlands on November 22. As you can see, the group is busy at working hard to provide quality music. Catch one of their tour dates to see their hard work pay off!
