AC/DC Members Say They Will Move Forward With Or Without Drummer Phil Rudd

AC/DC will continue with the band without drummer Phil Rudd.

The aftermath following Phil Rudd’s murder charges has been troubling for AC/DC but the band will continue without him. Although the charges against Rudd have been dropped, the decision to move on without him still stands and will not affect the band’s future. The band released a statement saying:

“Phil’s absence will not affect the release of our new album, Rock or Bust, and upcoming tour next year.”

Members of the band had seen a change in Rudd but did not know his intentions, as reported in Rolling Stone. They expressed their uncertainty, saying:

“The drum situation is a question mark. But we will definitely be out there. But our problems had begun even before the situation he’s in now. And our thing was we were going forward.

The band had already been impacted by their guitarist, Malcolm Young, leaving the band because he was diagnosed with dementia. Through their turmoil, the remaining members will stay focused and continue all of AC/DC’s plans without delaying any release or tour and supporting the others as they deal with their situations.
