Rebelution is a rock, world and reggae band that formed in Santa Barbara, California. The bands current lineup consists of Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Wesley Finley, Marley D Williams, and Khris Royal. They started out playing local shows and independently releasing an EP which helped them build their popularity.
They debut album, Courage to Grow, was released in 2007 and was the bands major breakthrough. The albums was critically praised for crafty melodies, socially conscious lyrics, and savvy musicianship. Their album was titled Best Reggae Album of 2007 by iTunes, and peaked at number four on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums Chart.
Rebelutions most recent album, Count Me In, was released on its own label, 87 Music. The album debuted at number 14 on the Billboard Top 200 albums, and number one on the Billboard Reggae albums chart. Guitarist/singer Eric Rachmany commented on the bands milestone, “we still have the same energy as we did as a young band, if not more. The more experience we had doing this, the more inspired we became.”
