This winter you can be like the “Cool Kids.” But only if you head to the TLA this February. Echosmith, creators of the highly infectious summer hit “Cool Kids” will be taking the stage on February 28th and they’ll be bringing along The Colourist for support. If the winter blues already have you down, you’ll definitely want to grab tickets to this show as it is guaranteed to lighten your mood.
The LA indie pop band were just in town a few weeks ago playing the very intimate Barbary stage. So we’re excited to see what they have in store for us when they head to a slightly larger venue, the TLA. In 2009, the four siblings Graham, Julie, Noah, and Sydney joined forces to create Echosmith. The young band released their hit single “Cool Kids” nearly a year ago, but the song is still getting solid radio play.
Support of the upcoming TLA show comes in the form of The Colourist, a band out of Orange County, California. Back in 2009, the band won Best New Artist, Best Song and Best Live Band at the O.C. Music Awards. Their debut single, “Little Games” also went to number 1 on Hype Machine. In 2012, they signed to Universal Republic Records. The released their debut EP, Lido, in August of last year. And this March, The Colourist released their debut self-titled album. Head to the TLA this February to hear both of these bands perform!
