Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer. Iglesias started his career in the mid 1990’s on an American Spanish Language record lebel, Fonovisa, which helped him become one of the biggest stars in Latin America. By the turn of the millennium, he had made successful crossover into the mainstream market and signed to a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group. In 2010, he signed with Republic Records to release bilingual albums.
Throughout his career, he has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best selling Spanish language artists of all time. He has had five Billboard Hot 100 top five singles, including two number ones. He currently holds the record for producing 25 number one Spanish language singles on Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks. Iglesias has also had 13 number one songs on Billboard’s Dance charts which is more than any other single male artist. In total, Iglesias has more than 70 number on rankings via Billboard charts alone. Billboard has reffered to him at “The King of Latin Pop” and “The King of Dance.”
Iglesias most recent work is, Sex and Love, which is his tenth studio album. It was released on March 14 2014 by Republic Records. The album consist of three Spanish singles, “Loco,” “El Perdedor” and “Baliando” which all reached number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
