According to Alternative Nation, Asmussen said,

“I have a Nine Inch Nails DVD coming out soon. I directed 2 of the four shows in the package. I would highly recommend checking it out. They put on a hell of a show. Trent is up there with Axl as one of the great frontmen in rock.”

In the interview, Asmussen discusses topics ranging from the differences of working with Jay Z, Prince, Paul McCartney and Guns N’ Roses to the possibility of being nominated for a Grammy.

Trent Reznor has been very busy lately. Earlier this month, in an interview with Billboard, he let it be known that he will be working with Apple Inc. on big project, but wouldn’t divulge the exact details of the venture. In October the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced Nine Inch Nails’ 2015 nomination. In September Reznor teamed up with composer Atticus Ross to create the soundtrack for the widely successful film Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck.

In the interview with Billboard, Reznor let it be known that he he doesn’t see himself still touring with Nine Inch Nails when he’s 70.

“Do I visualize that happening? No. I’d like to get it to a place where it’s not a commitment of a year of being away, because I don’t want to miss being a father — being present. I would like to create more, in quicker intervals, rather than make an album, disappear for years, go on tour.”

Other than Kerry Asmussen’s interview, there aren’t any further details or an exact release date for the 4-concert DVD set, but mxdwn will be sure to let you know when there is.

Asmussen also worked with Reznor on the Nine Inch Nails 2013 concert film called ‘Tension’, which took place at the iconic Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
