Ultra Brand has returned with Ultra South Africa, the world’s largest EDM festival, and has released the Phase One 2015 lineup.
With over 40,000 attendees at the last festival, Ultra Music Festival has announced the 2015 Phase One line up for Ultra South Africa’s return in Cape Town. Some of the biggest names in EDM and Dance music will be headlining the festival in Phase One, including Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Martin Garrix, as well as South African locals Goldfish, Black Coffee, Fresh & Euphonik, Roger Goode, DJ Kent, and Protoculture.
After only one year, Ultra South Africa is already a festival hit, as the producer Adam Russakoff stated,
“First year shows usually tend to be replete with growing pains, but with South Africa it just instantly worked. It certainly helped that we had a massive lineup and the energy really transcended to the crowd. Continuing with our trend of coming stronger every year, our second edition in South Africa surely won’t disappoint as evidenced by this tremendous first phase lineup announcement.”
The Ultra brand was founded in 1997 by CEO Russel Faibisch, and began by producing EDM events in South Africa, and the first Ultra Music Festival took place in Miami, Florida in 1999. This year, the Ultra Brand will celebrate its 17th anniversary at Ultra South Africa in Cape Town, South Africa. The Ultra brand extended it’s company with Road to Ultra festivals all over the globe, and was one of the pioneers of live streaming with Ultra Live.
According to a recent press release, the festival’s mission is to focus on the true love of music for both artists and fans as the brand continues to be the most international independent music brand in the world. Their formula is to combine diverse talent with the most advanced festival productions.
Ultra South Africa takes place in Cape Town and Johannesberg on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th February, 2015. Pre-registered fans can purchase their tickets on Thursday, November 6th, before they are made available to the public on Friday, November 7th.
General admission tickets are available for 850 South African Rand, which is equivalent to $67, and up to 1500 South African Rand for a VIP Full Access ticket, which is equivalent to about $130.
CEO and Founder Russel Faibrisch is excited to bring Ultra Festival back to South Africa stating,
“There truly may not be a more beautiful location than South Africa. The memories that everyone came away with after the inaugural edition were timeless. The fans there are truly passionate, and they encompassed what loving the music and indeed our experience is all about.”
