Jukebox the Ghost is  three-piece power pop band that formed in 2006. The bands lineup consists of Ben Thornewill (vocals and piano), Tommy Siegel (vocals and guitar) and Jesse Kristin (drums). The three met while going to George Washington University. They were originally titled The Sunday Mail, but after writing enough material, they built up a new image for the band and renamed themselves, Jukebox the Ghost.

The groups first album, Let Live and Let Ghost, in 2008. They gained praise from publications including, The Washington Post, Best Week Ever, and Spin. Spin stated, “Jukebox the Ghost is refreshing reminder that the lighthearted electricity of a fantastic pop song is still filled with live wires.” Their followup album, Everything Under the Sun, was released in 2010. The album consisted of their popular single “Empire.”

Jukebox the Ghost’s latest album was released this year on October 21. “The Great Unknown” was the first single released off of the album. The band uses a wide variety of instruments such as the accordion, bass guitar, congas, and an orchestra.
