Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts that formed in 1991. The band formed while the founding members Adam Garder, Ryan Miller, and Brian Rosenworcel were studying at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Guster remained an ‘underground’ band for their first two albums Parachute (1995) and Goldfly (1997).
The band gained fame in 1999 with their third studio release, Lost and Gone Forever. The single “Fa Fa” made it onto Billboard’s Adult Top 40. Guster’s fourth album, Keep It Together, had two singles also in the Adult Top 40 including, “Careful” and “Amsterdam.” Their fifth album, Ganging Up on the Sun, peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200.
Guster’s latest release, Evermotion, will be their seventh studio album. It’s set to be released on January 13 of the new year. The first single released off the album is titled “Simple Machine.” Every ticket purchased for Guster’s 2015 tour includes a digital copy of their upcoming album.
