The Decemberists Announce New Album What A Terrible World What A Beautiful World For January 2015 Release

The Decemberists newest record, What A Terrible World What A Beautiful World, has been confirmed, via teaser trailer, for release on January 20th.

It was only a few short days ago that the Decemberists released the artwork for their upcoming record, and now we are presented with teaser trailer for the record, broadcasting the January 20th release of what will be their seventh studio album. The album itself is chock full of the great indie folk music that has made up the groups repertoire, peppered with various folk tale narratives and archetypes that have been songwriter Colin Meloys chief inspiration. Meloy himself recently busked in front of a Brooklyn mural, promoting a couple of the tracks that will be featured on the record, and there have already been a series of videos promoting three of the tracks: “Make Me Better,” “Carolina Low,” and “Lake Song.” It has been three years since the last Decemberists record graced record store shelves, and the anticipation for the new release could not be be higher.
