Rocket From the Crypt is an American rock band from San Diego, California that formed in 1989. Their 1992 album, Circa: Now!, gained the band critical praise and attention from major records labels. They signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and later released, Scream, Dracula, Scream! (1995) and RFTC (1998). The two albums played a large part in the bands popularity.
After a short break from playing music in 2000, Rocket From the Crypt signed to Vagrant Records. They revitalized their creative energy and released two new albums. Throughout the years, the members of Rocket from the Crypt became more involved with other projects and focus less attention on the band. In 2005, they disbanded and played their last sold out show on Halloween in their hometown.
The band reunited in 2013 and went on to perform in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Next week they will be stopping in Austin to play Fun Fun Fun Fest, and a FFF NITES show! You have two chances to see them, so don’t miss out!
