Jack White is getting back to life with the new songs. After passing away of the keyboardist Ikey Owens, Jack found the strength to go on releasing new material with The Dead Weather.
Recent releases of ‘It’s Just Too Bad’ and ‘Buzzkill(er)’ are the first Dead Weather’s singles since October 2013 when two singles – ‘Open Up (That’s Enough)’ and ‘Rough Detective’ – were announced by Jack White’s Third Man Records.
As for the latest one – ‘Buzzkill(er)’: despite ambiguous lyrics about God that has already caused controversies, The Dead Weather seem pretty okay; little lighter than before, and perhaps more of a blues version of themselves rather than the garage one we heard in the band’s early works.
Besides releasing new material, Jack is also announced to start his European tour on November 7 in Istanbul, as reported by alternativenation.net, with The Dead Weather’s Dean Fertita on keyboards. Lucius is announced to support Jack on his November tour, starting November 11 in Vienna.
