Hoodie Allen w/ Chiddy Bang @ Liacouras Center 11/29

Well it looks like you can add another Liacouras Center event to your calendar. This fall, the Temple University stadium will bring Hoodie Allen, NYC born and bred rapper to Philly for his upcoming “People Keep Talking” World Tour. The tour kicks off this Saturday in Milwaukee. Allen will arrive in Philly later that month when he hits the stage on November 29th. He’ll be bringing along with him very special guest and Philly’s own Chiddy Bang.

Hoodie Allen’s upcoming tour is named after his newest album, People Keep Talking. The album was released on October 14th and is actually the rapper’s debut studio album, despite a slew of EPs and mixtapes. The album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200. It includes features from Ed Sheeran and tour opener, MAX. Hoodie Allen also has ties to the area, having graduated from Penn in 2010.

Also opening for Hoodie Allen this November is the now Xaphoon Jones-less Chiddy Bang. The former duo is now down to just frontman Chidera Anamege, better known as Chiddy. As several of their songs allude, the duo got their start at Drexel University. (Noah Beresin, aka Xaphoon Jones, aka Noah Breakfast, is a Philadelphia native). Chiddy Bang came to prominence after releasing their mixtape The Swelly Express. The song featured the hit “Opposite of Adults,” which samples MGMT’s “Kids.”

Head to the Liacouras Center on November 29th to see the former Drexel/Penn students perform at Temple!
