Langhorne Slim is headed out on a slew of solo shows to wrap up the year. One of the stops along the tour will bring him to Philly for a performance at Underground Arts. In an email to his fans, Langhorne Slim wrote that he’d be making a stop home, “to see my family, watch Eagles football, and sing for y’all.” And we couldn’t be happier to see him take the stage on December 4th. Grab your tickets this friday (10/31) at noon and join Langhorne Slim at Underground Arts this December.
As his name suggests, Langhorne Slim hails from Langhorne, PA. He has toured with the likes of Cake, Josh Ritter, Drive-By Truckers, and The Violent Femmes. It was his track “Electric Love Letter” that started the ball rolling, ranking him in the top ten in Rolling Stone. Since then, Langhorne Slim and the Law have released four studio albums, the most recent having been released in 2012.
Back in March of last year, Langhorne Slim and his band, The Law, performed a song from their album, The Way We Move, on Conan. Of the band, Conan said, “Two months ago a friend handed me the latest album by my next guest and after one listen I became an instant almost obsessive fan. Rolling Stone described the album as ‘damn near perfect.’ That’s a sentiment with which I wholeheartedly agree.” Head to Underground Arts this December if you also agree.
