Kindness performed at the FADER FORT a couple of nights ago, and the video for the performance has just hit the internet. The only question that comes to my mind is: “How have I never heard of this kid before?”
It has been said that Kindness could very well be a significant new entry into the music world if he could only find the right format to fit into. It’s clear from this live performance that he’s found a group to fit his style and performance. The video shows Kindness loosening up on stage, feeling every vibe of the jazzy, poppy sound of “World Restart” as he sways about on the stage. Kindness, who is also known by his given name of Adam Bainbridge, seems to have finally found a niche that will allow him to come to the attention of a wider audience compared to the more underground scene that he has been thus far exposed to. Watching the video, one clearly gets the sense that this is an artist who has had the time to shape his craft, honing it until just the right moment when just the right musicians came along to bring his sound and vision to the attention of a live audience. With recent video releases of “It’s Not About Us” and “A Monument To Everything”, and the confirmed release of his latest album, it’s not too much of a stretch, I feel, to suggest that we will very soon be exposed to this excellent sound on record very, very soon.
