Ben Howard’s sophomore release dropped earlier this week on October 20th. The album finds the folk singer finding a bit of his darker side. The first track released from the album is 8 minutes in length. You can listen to “End of the Affair” over here to get a taste of Howard’s newly evolved sound. Ben Howard has been making music since 2008, when he self-released his debut EP, Games in the Dark. Two more EPs would follow each subsequent year with These Waters released in 2009 and Old Pine released in 2010.

Howard’s first studio album, Every Kingdom, dropped in 2011. We didn’t get a taste of the album in the US until 2012. That same year, Howard made appearances at SXSW. He began to gain some notoriety with his songs appearing in shows like House, Suits, and The Walking Dead. In 2013, he won the BRIT Award for British Breakthrough Act and British Solo Male Artist. Catch this quickly rising talent when he heads to Philly this January. And don’t forget…Tickets for Ben Howard at Union Transfer go on sale TOMORROW, October 24th.
