Jonatan Hastad, known by his stage name Yung Lean, is a Swedish rapper and record producer. Yung Lean has released two mixtapes, Sadboys2001 and Unknown Death 2002, which were both released in 2013 under his label Sad Boys Entertainment. Yung Lean’s most popular singles include “Ginseng Strip 2002,” “Kyoto,” and “Yoshi City.”
Yung Lean began to attract public attention in 2013 when the music video for his single “Ginseng Strip 2002” went viral gaining over 2 million views on YouTube. XXL Magazine included Yung Lean in their 2014 list of 15 European Rappers You Should Know. Vibe included Unknown Death 2002 in their 10 Most Overlooked Debut Rap Mixtapes of 2013. Vibe described it as “a natural progression from the freely associative, often nonsensical rhymes of Lil’ B with a keener sense of melody.”
Yung Lena released his debut full-length album Unknown Memory late this summer. The release of the album was followed by the White Marble Tour: North America, that consisted of 24 cities in Europe. Shortly after, the Black Marble Tour: North America tour was announced which included cities in North America and Canada.
