Don’t miss out on an exclusive live stream of the Foo Fighters at Chicago’s The Cubby Bear on Friday, October 17 at midnight (EST) following the premiere of their new HBO series.
Following the debut of the new HBO series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways at 11pm (EST) on Friday, October 17, the band is scheduled to take the stage in Chicago for a premiere party concert.
In collaboration with Facebook, HBO will offer the chance for fans to take part in the premiere day with a concert made accessible to U.S. fans via live stream titled “Foo Fighters Sonic Highways: Live from The Cubby Bear” on the HBO Facebook page.
At midnight (EST) after the premiere episode of their new show, band members Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, and Pat Smear will perform at Chicago’s The Cubby Bear for a number of adoring fans across the nation. The performance is set to feature the first live performance of “Something from Nothing,” a new single off of their upcoming album Sonic Highways, set for release on November 10.
Directed by Foo Fighters lead vocalist Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways explores the musical identity of America in a documentary series comprised of eight parts. The hour long episodes are each dedicated to distinctive musical landmarks in America, showcasing the history, social surroundings, and people that help to define the musical identity of each city.
The show’s premiere episode will be set in Chicago, and will notably highlight The Cubby Bear. The small club is the setting of where Grohl experienced his first punk rock show, which significantly influenced his life’s journey.
If you will not be able to catch the live stream of the show, the event will be archived and made available on certain HBO platforms within the coming weeks.
