The curtains have closed and the stage lights are off. But no matter the circumstance, it’s probably worth it to finish what you start. Death Grips fans are left with a completed album even after the group breaks up.
The trio decided to no longer pursue music together back in early July of this year. After years of a heartfelt collaboration in experimental hip hop and punk rock, the group ended their unique collaboration of unconventional and eclectic musical performances. But the band has finished their fourth and final album, The Powers That B, which they have been working on previous to the break-up. The first disc of the double-album LP, Niggas On The Moon, had already been released in July.
The second disc that will be called Jenny Death, has been completed, despite the band’s break-up, and will be released soon. According to Consequence of Sound, “The band’s final LP, the powers that b, comes in two parts: niggas on the moon was released in June, and jenny death is due out later this year.”
