The Toadies are an alternative rock band from Fort Worth, Texas. They are best known for the song “Possum Kingdom.” The band’s original lineup consisted of Vade Todd Lewis (vocals/guitar), Mark Reznicek (drums), Lisa Umbarger (bass), and Darrel Herbert (guitar).

They formed in 1989 and disbanded in early 2001. The band reformed and released, No Deliverance, in 2008. More recently, in 2012, they re-released their album Freeler with Kirtland Records. The Toadies latest album is, Play. Rock. Music, and was released in 2012. A promotional video for the track, “Summer of the Strange,” can be viewed on Clark Vogeler’s YouTube Channel.

Early this year, the Toadies announced via their Facebook page that their album, Rubberneck, would be reissued by Kirtland Records and would include five previously-unreleased bonus tracks. The announcement also consisted of a 20 year anniversary tour featuring the Toadies playing the entire Rubberneck album.
