WATCH: JJ Releases New Video For “Dynasti”

JJ has released a new video for “Dynasti”. “Dynasti” is the third song to be released as a music video from the band’s most recent album, V, which is out now via Secretly Canadian.

The video for “Dynasti” opens with a night or pre-dawn sequence featuring a person donning a monk-eqsue robe cupping his or her face with hands that are covered with what appear to be blood colored crosses. Next, it moves to a medium shot of a girl with a lot of dark eyeliner and glittery eyeshadow biting her jacket collar. Suddenly, the scene changes to a daytime shot of a person dressed in red carrying a torch across a barren rocky outcropping. Then, it shifts to a night shot featuring ritual masked dancing, a woman covered in glitter singing, and burning pianos.

What does it mean?

Unfortunately, even the press release is opting to leave the meaning to the band and the visual storytellers, who have written the cryptic lines below.

this is the dynasti before you sent no°5 in a zip-folder

And, incase you were wondering, “fågelsången” is – at least according to Google Translate – Swedish word that appears to mean “bird song”.
