Yacht releases new song titled, “Works Like Magic” from their upcoming EP, Where Does This Disco? which is set to be released on November 11.
Yacht, who will be performing in Sacramento in October for the TBD Fest, released the second song from their anticipated EP coming this fall. Listeners had previously heard the song which the EP is named for, so “Works Like Magic” comes as an additional tease. The song was written with by the main duo, Claire Evans and Jona Bechtolt, in conjunction with their live band members, Jeffrey Brodsky and Rob “Bobby Birdman” Kieswetter, as mentioned on Prefix.
“Works Like Magic” is true to Yacht’s style. It has the fun, hyper-beats and follows the same energy as the “Where Does This Disco?” single, which features similar electronic and robotic sounds. With Evans leading the song, the lyrics provide a subtle seductive tone, while being playful and having a catchy chorus. Their techno-funk vibe is evident in this track, making it known that this is Yacht’s signature sound and it is here to stay.
The Where Does This Disco? EP will be released November 11 but Yacht fans can enjoy “Works Like Magic” until then.
