Robert Ellis is a singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Nashville, Tennessee who blends country, bluegrass and folk. Ellis began performing at Robert Ellis & The Boys in early 2012, forming a foundation in the classics of country music and gradually incorporating original songs.
Ellis first LP, The Great Rearranger, was self-released and was sold at his live shows. After the release of his second album, Photographs (2011), Ellis found a higher level of success. The American Songwriter’s Magazine named Photographs one of the Top 50 Albums of 2011.
His latest album, The Lights From The Chemical Plant, was released early this year under New West Records. NPR Music listed the track “Chemical Plant” as one of the 50 Favorite Songs Of 2014. The Houston Chronicle stated, “Ellis doesn’t place limitations on his music. Any perceived departure is just part of an ongoing creative journey.”
