Marsha Ambrosius @ TLA 10/23

Marsha Ambrosius is headed back to Philly! And you can catch her this October when she plays The TLA. The singer is bringing her Friends & Lovers Tour out on the road this fall. She’ll kick things off in Atlanta on the 15th of October and make her way to Philly by the 23rd. Grab your tickets now, as you don’t want to miss this one! And act quick – her last Philly show sold out.

Marsha Ambrosius was here performing in Philly back in March, when she took the stage at The TLA. A former member of Floetry, Ambrosius released her solo debut, Late Nights & Early Mornings, in 2011. The album debuted at number 1 on the R&B charts and number 2 on the Top 200 chart. But it’s been a long time coming for new material from the soul songstress. In 2013, she was on the soundtrack for The Best Man Holiday. That same year she sold out The TLA for her Friends & Lovers show.

As it turns out, Friends & Lovers is the name of Ambrosius’ newest album, only her second studio album. She released the album in July of this year. Of the new release, Ambrosius says, “the second album is more concentrated, it’s very conceptual.” The long awaited album also features a guest appearance from Dr. Dre on the single “Stronger.”
