This fall, Generationals are headed out on a tour of North America. The tour will kick off on October 7th in Texas and will finally make it’s way up to Philly in December. The duo will appear at Johnny Brenda’s on December 3rd and you can grab your tickets now! Over the course of the tour, they will have a few different openers. But supporting them on December 3rd will be Lowell.
Generationals just released their newest album last week. You can stream the whole album on the band’s YouTube. Alix is the duo’s 4th studio album, with their first having been released back in 2009. Before recording the newest album, Generationals left their old producer and attempted to find something new. They brought in Richard Swift to aid in the production who they say forced them to look inside themselves and “face the dark emptiness in [their] own hearts.” But the album isn’t all darkness. In fact, much of it will have you wishing it were still summer.
But alas, fall is here. And with it brings a slew of great fall shows. Head to Johnny Brenda’s on December 3rd to catch the New Orleans duo. And be sure to get there early to see opener, Lowell. The globetrotting “wolf” will be providing support for Generationals at their Philly show. She released her debut album, We Loved Her Dearly, last week. On the album, she tackles topics like working as a stripper (under the name Sara V) and her bisexuality. Be sure to check her out this December.
