Rock in Rio’s third offshoot event is coming to the Americas: Las Vegas is set to host the next festival.
From May 8-9, and May 15-16, 2015 the world’s largest music fest is coming to Sin City. Festivals have been held in Brazil, Lisbon and Madrid in past years, and now thanks to a partnership between Cirque du Soleil and other Vegas big-names, it could be a recurring event. Last year, performers included Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Jessie J, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and many more music giants.
This first North American festival will be at a newly built “City of Rock.” And since it’s in Vegas, of course it’s going to be the most high-tech, flashiest fest you can ask for.
The City of Rock will be near Circus Circus, and boasts a 33-acre venue with the capacity to hold 80,000 people, and five stages. The “City” will be set up so that different streets feel like different places, including the UK, Brazil, and America. There’s going to be themed food, shopping, art, and perhaps even amusement park rides.
Tickets to each weekend are priced at $298.00 for General Admission, and $498.00 VIP. Pre-sale begins September 26th at 4:00pm.
