Brooklyn-based band, Streets of Laredo, are headed out on tour this fall. And they’ll be kicking things off right here in Philly this October. You can catch them on October 26th when they hit the stage at Boot & Saddle. The tour is in support of their upcoming album, Volume I & II. The album drops on October 7th, leaving you plenty of time to give it a listen before you head out to see their show at The Boot.
In addition to the tour announcement, Streets of Laredo have offered up a sampling from the new album in form of the video for single “Slow Train,” which you can watch over here. Since that release, the band has also dropped the song “Laredo,” which you can listen to and download for free from their website. Volume I & II will be the first full-length release for the group. It draws on their experiences back home in New Zealand as well as their new life in Brooklyn, NY.
Streets of Laredo have had a busy year. And this upcoming tour comes on the heels of an equally busy summer. The 7-piece band played The Boot back in June during a brief North American tour. The also had a few festival gigs at SXSW and Bonnaroo. In addition to their own tour dates, they also went out in support of Kaiser Chiefs and The Cults. And if all of those performances weren’t enough to keep them busy, the band released an EP in June. If you had a chance to check them out when they were here this summer, you’ll definitely want to make another appearance at The Boot to hear all of the new music they have been working on.
