Boston brutal death metal outfit Revocation is really getting prepared for a new record release! Noisey is streaming the band’s new single ‘Madness Opus’ from the forthcoming LP ‘Deathless’, due to be released October 14 via Revocation’s new label Metal Blade Records.
“Madness Opus” is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s short story ‘The Music Of Erich Zann’ and is probably the heaviest song off the new album. We’ve been playing this new tune for a few months now and it’s been crushing live so we’re stoked to finally premiere the studio version of it,” says singer/guitarist Dave Davidson.
As for reaction of the crowd to the track, Davidson says, “The crowd response for that tune has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s one of the heaviest songs we’ve ever written, hands down, and has been a blast to play live.”
If that’s not the reason to give a shot to Revocation’s new energy ball, then I don’t know what is. Follow the Noisey link to hear ‘Madness Opus’, and get patient for the band’s new record ‘Deathless’, a follow-up to self-titled ‘Revocation’ LP.
