Wisconsin-raised singer-songwriter with strong Russian roots Nika Roza Danilova, better known as Zola Jesus, has released a second single ‘Go (Blank Sea)’ from her upcoming record, ‘Taiga’, due to be released October 7 via Mute.
Having started with ‘Dangerous Days’, with all-elements video released last month, Nika has presented a more arena version of herself, heavily influenced by Florence Welch and musically close to Kate Bush. According to prettymuchamazing.com, ‘Danilova accesses the icy, expansive soundscapes you’ll remember from her earlier work and mashes them up with a radio-ready pop sensibility, soaring diva vocals, and a massive chorus’.
Enjoy Zola Jesus new song while floating in a boat across the Scandinavian river, because the new music is all about that. And do not miss Zola’s fall tour including several U.S. venues and various European live shows.
