Cincinnati-based indie quartet Walk the Moon are coming to Slim’s next month. Walk the Moon features Nicholas Petricca on vocals, Kevin Ray on Bass, Eli Maiman on Guitar, and Sean Waugaman on drums, and was formed in the late 2000’s.
They released their debut album I want!, I Want! independently in 2011 and soon after signed to Mick Management (and RCA Records the following year). This album featured their track Anna Sun, which was featured on Vampire Diaries and was named Song of the Summer by MTV. They collaborated on their 2012 self-titled sophomore album with songwriter and producer Ben Allen, and created such popular tracks as Tightrope (which was featured in an HP laptop advertisement) and Quesadilla (which was featured on the FIFA 2013 soundtrack).
Walk the Moon have played major music festivals Lollaplooza, ITunes Festival, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch, and have toured with Grouplove as well as Fun. This past June, Walk the Moon released a new track called Shut Up and Dance.
They are currently on tour, and there are rumours that a new album is on the way! Come check them out!
