Metallica Releasing Live Albums Of Every 2014 Concert

To celebrate a decade of their website Live Metallica, the group is going “old school” and releasing CDs and LPs of every 2014 show. Comprised mostly of their “Metallica by Request” tours of South America and Europe where fans chose the set lists and festival performances at Heavy Montreal and Glastonbury, the massive release will come in weekly segments of three shows.

The first show released on the site as part of the anniversary celebration is Bogota, Colombia, where the group premiered new song, “Lords of Summer.” The band has been making waves in recent months, setting Guinness World Record as the first band to play all seven continents as well as setting a new sales record at 16 million copies sold of 1991’s The Black Album.

They will be releasing four select shows on limited edition 180 gram vinyl as well as offering fans the chance to vote on which records they want in vinyl, the most popular of which will be available in early 2015. They are also offering the chance to pre-order the entire twenty seven show 2014 tour in a box set that will ship out in December. Merry Christmas, Metallica fans.
