Alex Clare is a British singer-songwriter. His debut album was titled, The Lateness of the Hour, which was released in the UK in July of 2011 on Island Records. The Album was produced by Mike Spencer and Major Lazer. His most successful hit, and most well known song to date is titled, “Too Close,” which peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart and number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100. The single was nominated for the Brit Award in 2013 for the Best British Single of 2013.
Prior to the release of The Lateness Of the Hour, he signed to Universal Republic, which allowed him to release the album in America in 2012. Shortly after the release, it was announced that Universal Republic was going defunct moving artist from its roster to Republic Records, including Alex Clare. Also in 2012, he sang the role of Voice of Humanity on the album, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds – The New Generation.
In May of this year, Clare released the video for his single “War Rages On,” which serves as the leading single for his latest sophomore album, Three Hearts. Alex Clare is embarking on a nation wide tour in support of the album, which will consists of over 35 tour dates.
