The Lawsuits are releasing their newest EP on September 23rd and to celebrate their bringing the party to Philly! The local favorites will perform their record release show at Johnny Brenda’s just a few days later. Grab tickets now and head to JB’s on 9/26! The Lawsuits are bringing along a few friends. Support comes in the form of DRGN King and Tutlie, two more talented Philly bands.
The Lawsuits have named their newest EP Tumbled. It’s the 5th release from the rising Philly talent, who only started performing live back in 2010. They were named Philadelphia Indie Band of the Year in 2013. And they released their debut full-length just this past year. Cool Cool Cool was recorded over the course of 3 months. The album helped to secure their presence on a wider scale with features in Rolling Stone and SPIN. At this point, there’s no slowing these guys down and their Philly supporters are glad to support another release this September at Johnny Brenda’s.
While you’ll certainly want to see The Lawsuits when they hit the stage, you absolutely want to be sure to get there early for openers Tutlie and DRGN King. September 26th is going to be a great night for Philly music. Tutlie has been called “one of Philly’s most imaginative bands” by WXPN. They got their start in 2010 in West Chester. They released their debut LP, Young Cries, this year. And then we have DRGN King. They too have released new music this year. Take a listen to “Solo Harp,” a track from their new record. Grab your tickets now and catch all of these great local acts on September 26th! Oh, and the best part? The show is only 10 bucks! There’s no reason not to be there.
