PHOTOS: Ok Go, Allah-Las Live at Santa Monica Pier

My favorite shows are always shows where the performers seem like they’re just having fun. Ok Go seemed to be having a great time on stage as they performed both new releases and previous favorites at the Santa Monica Pier last week during KCRW’s Twilight Concert Series. They interacted with the audience throughout their set; Tim Norwind and Andy Ross acted out the story that lead to the naming of the band (it’s based on an instructor they had at art camp when they were 11 yr olds). Norwind performed a song from a platform set up in the middle of the crowd, the two even started their encore out by fulfilling an audience member’s request to hear them sing something from ‘Les Miserables.’

Locals Allah-Las opened, performing songs from their new album Worship the Sun (due out Sept 16th) as the sun set for KCRW and MySpace’s next to last Twilight Concert of the season.
