LISTEN: Sam Smith Releases “I’m Not The Only One” Remix Featuring A$AP Rocky

British singer- songwriter Sam Smith, who rose to fame back in 2012 for providing the vocals to Disclosure’s mega hit “Latch,” took over the hearts and radios of the world with summer hit single, “Stay With Me.” The soulful singer recently joined forces with king of the A$AP mob, A$AP Rocky, for a remix of Smith’s, “I’m Not The Only One” off his debut album, In The Lonely Hour.

Rocky spits the opening lines to the remix referencing Beyonce as he raps, “Sasha Fierce…Crying til she’s sounds asleep…you got to know you’re not the only one” before Smith swoops in with his soulful croon and gospel choir. The original track remains a solid backbone to the remix, complemented by a second verse from Rocky relating to the theme of cheating lovers as he raps, “We’re all guilty of the same crime. If you ask me, I might have had a couple women at the same time.”

Rocky brings a coarseness to the intimate and pensive track, creating a dynamism that emphasizes the song’s core message of shared heartbreak across every walk of life, from a British soul singer to a Harlem rap star.
