LISTEN: In This Moment Releases New Song “Sick Like Me”

Heavy metal band In This Moment have released a new single entitled “Sick Like Me” from their upcoming fifth studio album, Black Widow, due out November 18. The audio visualizer video accompanies the track release and features old black and white horror film imagery akin to the openings of American Horror Story, True Blood, and Dexter all wrapped into one flashing and lustily disturbing video.

Frontwoman Maria Brink discussed the album saying, “Black Widow is definitely the darker part of me. This album is about finding the weakness inside and turning it into strength. It’s about being reborn, setting yourself free, and realizing the balance in everything- the dark and the light.”

The album will be released through Atlantic Records, which Brink went on to express her excitement about the company “who have put out some of the greatest and most revered albums of all time. I am so ready and excited for the launch of this album. I think people will embrace its diversity and hearing different sides of us that they haven’t experienced yet.”

Guitarist Chris Howorth also gave insight on the upcoming album saying, “Here we go again. This was by far the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding experience we’ve ever had making a record. We threw out the rulebook and tried to create something fearless, constantly pushing ourselves to make an album unlike anyone has heard before. Fans, get ready for this ride – everything is going to the next level.”

Black Widow will feature special guests, Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody among them. The album will be available for pre-order on iTunes beginning October 7.
