Ejecta will soon be changing their name because a DJ who operates under the moniker “ejeca” contacted them about their similar name.
Electro-pop duo singer Leanne Macomber and Joel Ford are now asking fans to help decide on a new name. The original name Ejecta is a term which refers to the sediment which settles on the floor of the ocean after there has been a volcanic eruption or seismic shift. The name was picked for the way it fits the group’s “mascot” who constantly finds herself in a state of rebirth, such as Earth does.
They are calling for all new ideas, so send them to Ejecta’s Facebook or twitter page if you want the chance to win copies of every Ejecta release in the past and in the future, as well as access to live shows and merchandise.
Ejecta released their first album in November 2013 called Dominae.
The new video for the song “Eleanor Lye” from this album was released in April of this year.
Ejecta will be playing GvsB IV on September 12 at the Granada Theater in Dallas, Texas.
